The Côte d’Azur - the French Riviera - polarizes opinion like few places in France. To some it remains the most glamorous of all Mediterranean playgrounds; to others, it’s an overdeveloped victim of its own hype. I belong to the first group of people. Yet at its best – in the gaps between the urban sprawl, on the islands, in the remarkable beauty of the hills, the impossibly blue water after which the coast is named and in the special light that drew so many artists to paint here – it captivates everyone. Provence and the Côte d'Azur are made for explorers. One of the joys of travelling here is touring the back roads and soaking up the stunning variety of landscapes.
The Côte d'Azur stretches from Théoule-sur-Mer in the west to Menton on France's border with Italy. Along the way it takes in Cannes, Nice, Antibes and even another country, the principality of Monaco. The mention of such names evokes the sun-drenched and easy-going lifestyle on offer along the French Riviera – the alternative name for the Côte d'Azur. Whatever you call it, the "azure coast" provides all the glitz and glamour you could wish for – as well as beaches, dramatic coastal vistas, medieval villages and untamed wilderness.

“some moments are nice, some are nicer, some are even worth writing about.”, wrote Charles Bukowski. Well, some moments are nice in Nice and are worth of filming.. I have filmed this movie by using iPhone 6, DxO One and GoPro Hero 3+. The video was edited with FinalCut.
Nice is a city of many beautiful sights, local charms, and engaging landscapes. Studded with cafes, bars, and eateries, suffused with antique and flower markets, and bearing some remarkable feats of art and architecture, this guide aims to show you the best of Nice, so that you can take in all the vibrancy of the seaside town in three days.

Seven and a half kilometers of wonderful yellow sandy beaches but did you know... Cannes spends 650,000 euros each year to reclaim 25,000 cubic metres of sand from the sea. Each summer the town protects bathers from jelly fish with special nets along the Gazagnaire, Mace and Roubine public beaches. They are in place until the end of September There is a 550 meter long underwater barrier which acts like a coral reef to prevent massive waves hitting the beach along the Croisette in the winter - devastating the beach restaurants and washing away tons of sand. It has cost almost one and half million euros and is unique in the south of France. The town has planted scores of palm trees on the public beaches to provide welcome shade. Last year nineteen new palm trees were planted on the beaches to replace those damaged by winter storms and salt water. The original palms go to a nursery to recuperate. Aah! There are also 81 showers plus waste bins and loos available. Cafes (kiosks) - new demountable ones since 2013 - can be found all along the 15 kilometres of Cannes coastline: from Mourre Rouge at Palm Beach to Trou de l'ancre at La Bocca on the border with Mandelieu. There are 60 people in summer to look after your safety on the beaches including lifeguards and police. The 33 private beaches and restaurants are mainly in the town along the Croisette and on the bd du Midi, around the corner from the old port. Plus one, Plage des Sports, half way along the Midi beach towards La Bocca. They are only open for lunch in winter.
Menton is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. Situated on the French Riviera, along the Franco-Italian border, it is nicknamed perle de la France ("Pearl of France"). Byt the way; I have done these titles to this movie with a iPhone app "Typorama"
